He was projected as a first-round draft pick in all of the mock drafts I saw. This was exactly the reason he slid down. Teams heard that he had an attitude problem.

 

For some reason, I don't see Dawkins striking fear into anybody unless it's during a game (when he goes absolutely insane). Outside of games he seems pretty cool-headed. I forgot all about Runyan, though. His leadership on the team really is overlooked. Although it would be nice to still have Kearse around to whip some guys into shape.

Talent-wise he was still not worth earlier than a 3rd round IMO....He has the potential for big games but he's far too inconsistent to believe he'll be anything great in the NFL...maybe that inconsistency at Cal came from the same lack of work...He's use to getting free rides...
