Cedric Benson's time with the Chicago Bears is up. The troubled running back, whose relationship with the team soured further because of his second arrest in little more than a month Saturday, was waived by the team on Monday, sources told ESPN.com's John Clayton. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3434053
Sad to see all these young kids coming up who have had very little parental guidance. In their cases, money only complicates matters more, and enables them to do the wrong things on a grander scale. Of course, that's only my opinion.
Prior to his first arrest in early may, his job was already in jeopardy anyway. Like I just said in another thread, he put the final nail in the coffin of his career here in Chicago within the last month.
I agree 100%. All Benson could have done was call Tank Johnson in Dallas and Tank could have told his butt that the Bears will sooner or later come to the conclusion that enough is enough the more you get busted by the law.
Goodell better suspend him for a long time, but since IMO he's not fair Benson will be back before long.
