Wrong! A strong argument could be made for Lambert ahead of Lewis. But Lewis dominated every aspect of the position in his era. Period. How many of those other guys you have ahead of him have a Super Bowl MVP and 2 DPOYs? Ray is way better than Butkus, too.

Yea but ray ray has had his career shortened by injuries, that past few seasons he wasn't the ray of old, and for that reason i say he is NOT top 5, top 10 mabye but 5 is being a little bit of a homer.

Ray Lewis is not better than Nitschke, Lambert, Ham, Taylor. Not a chance.
Ray Lewis was dominant for a few seasons, but he's tailed off, these other guys have had longer runs of dominance. Lewis is definitely Top 10, but not Top 5.

I respectfuly disagree. One thing many people must understand is that age does not equal past-primeness.

Needed to be triple teamed in his prime, dominant pass rusher, excellent against the run too which is often overlooked. LT playing against you meant adjusting/adapting your whole game plan, you could not ignore him whatsoever.

    Easy...Lawrence Taylor.

no it does not but ray dominated for roughly 6 to 7 years then injuries happened which lowered his production for that reason and that reason alone keeps ray out of the top 5. BTW LT hands down.

Always a matter of opinion....see what I mean? It's all in what you like the most and most people agree that LT was the best.

Seau has been playing for 18 years and has punished ball carriers every time.

I agree that a case could be made for Seau. He was extremely dominant in his prime. However, I think Lewis would have the edge.

Someone that has been left off of all your lists that I think may be way up there is Derrick Brooks. He's a beast but the defense he plays in does not call on him to rush the passer a lot so he doesn't get a lot of sacks. I think he helped revolutionize the game by being able to cover wr's and allow the Tampa2 to be so successful.

At least your smart enough to recognize the impact both of those arch-rivals had on the game during their era. A lot of people too often forget to mention Nitschke at all.

Not bad, I like it. I've seen a lot of Butkus film, and in his day he was the best. What an animal.
