I like the theory that is being floated by Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News regarding the status of Cowboys coach Wade Phillips. Taylor thinks that the head coachs second season in Dallas will be his final season there. As Taylor sees it, Phillips either will take the team to a Super Bowl title and call it a career, or hell fail to win it all, and be replaced by offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/stories/070908dnspoinsidethecowboys__.31900ea.html http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/07/09/last-season-for-wade-phillips/
i would give him another year if we dont make to the SB but then agian JJ might pissed off and just axe the dude but IMO Garrett is good but maybe not yet ready to take the reins and control everything Good coordinater dont always equal good coaches see norv turner dave campo butch davis
The only reason Garrett turned down HC jobs last year is because he is getting the HC job in Dallas after Phillips leaves
What do you mean, "No"? I was adding to the list of good coordinators who make lousy head coaches. Do you really think that Cam "1-15" Cameron was a good head coach?
i dont think cam is a good example bc he didnt have time to actually do something i mean didnt jimmy go 1-15 his first year or was that his second
At least the Cowboys lost to the eventual Super Bowl champs. No one was beating the Giants last season.
