Very well could be. hall should be way more effective away from #1 WR's Top WR's got in his head. If he doesnt have to worry about the Chad Johnsons, Hines Wards and Terrel Owens of the world, he should be a dangerous DB
I think Hall isn't that good, Ashoguma (I can't be arsed to spell it right, I don't care if it's up there, I'm lazy) is the crap, but Hall will still be burnt. I think the best now and for the immediate future has to be the Chargers. Jammer and Cromartie with Cason waiting in the wings. Something to reckon with. Texans are pretty good for the future as well.
after the pro bowl years clements and harris had it could have been them...then Harris decided he got his money and it was time to stop trying... im going with the raiders duo..too bad it won't help them get over 5 wins..
Count me as one of the people that think 1-Hall is overrated 2- Hall got paid wayyyy to much. But I think he is gonna be alot better covering #2 WR's With the season Bailey had, NA may be the best CB in the NFL right now
I was torn on who to include, Jones or Henry. I put Jones because he is the eventual starter, but it will (probobly) be a while Newman and Jones would definatly be the best Man to Man duo in the NFL once Jones is clicking
Hall has always gotten burnt by the top receivers, he gives up if he is playing poor early in games too. I went with philly based on potential and also adding Lito in there as a Pro Bowl Corner, philly has 3 top level corners The Bears and Buccs shouldn't be considered because as talented as they are, they are a product of the defense, In other schemes, those guys would be toast.
The homer in me voted for the Eagles' CBs, but I think the Raiders will end up with the best duo in the NFL. They already have the best corner and though I think Hall is overrated, like others have said, he should be much better now that's he's covering 2nd receivers. At the least, he's got recovery speed. San Diego is also a close second, but I'll wait to see whether Cromartie is the real deal before calling them the best in the league.
i went with the pair that has played togather already as opppsed to one that hasnt i say the cb of SD cromatie and jammer are the best right now thay are proven
Jammer and Cromartie...based on last years performances...this upcoming season could be totally different...obviously.
It's a hard question to answer purely because it depends on what system a defense plays. If it's cover 2, it's the Buc's starters. If you want aggressive Bump and Run corners, it's the Packers duo. I'd go with Bailey and Bly purely because Champ is still the best corner in the league and Bly is a decent man-to-man coverage guy who will get you turnovers but does give up big plays.
The Jaguars' starting CB tandem are Brian Williams and Rashean Mathis. Drayton Florence will be our Nickel. Just so you can change the poll to suit.
Shawn Springs and Fred Smoot are the best pair that have played together. Whoops...I voted for the wrong pair.
al harris and charles woodson are a nasty duo imo, those guys win the most physical, but best overall i would say the chargers because jammer is good and cromartie is incredible. not totally sold on the raiders guys being the best
