There's alot of tight races in the........ AL Central NL Central AL East NL East NL West (sort of... lol) :beer-smiley:
Yup, the only race thats out of reach right now is the A.L. West. Other then that, we actually have some exciting races going on right now.
Brewers are sticking it to the Cards this week....St Louis is digging a hole, luckily the Cubs are losing to.
Every thing is going right for the Brew Crew right now. And that Sabathia trade is paying off BIG TIME. At this rate, even as a rental, he will justify the price they paid for him.
They paid a huge price if C.C walks after a 3 month rental. I guess it's worth it if they make a deep run in the playoffs but Laporta was one of the best players in all of the Minors.
We can only hope :icon_cheesygrin: Gotta admit I was shocked :icon_eek: when they pulled off the trade, I am so used to seeing the Brewers let all their good players go and sign no one. I think they have one of the lowest, if not the lowest payrole in MLB, so it would actually be GREAT to see them go all the way!!
True, but they have great depth in the minors and the compensation picks they'll get after Sabathia walks will only help add to that depth. Totally worth it, imo. It's nice to have great prospects for your future, but when you have a great team in the majors and a chance to make it a serious World Series contender, you have to pull the trigger if it doesn't drain your farm system (which this trade did not do at all).
CC and the Brew Crew keep on rolling. (4 game sweep of the Cards) The Cubs were suppose to run away with the NL Central according to some experts. They were up 6 games at one point. Now, it's only down to 1 going into the weekend.
The experts said the samething about the Tigers and the A.L. Central too this year. Oh how injuries can change all that.
