NL West is a joke.

 

Didn't the Padres win the N.L. West with an 82-80 record back in 2005?

 

Yep. The team that wins this year has a shot at being even worse, though I think Arizona or LA will get their crap together sooner or later.

 

Hopefully the Phils will whip our butt this weekend so that we will go ahead and trade Texeira for some damn pitching prospects.

Cards are free-fallin fast. They've got to make a deal for some bullpen help. Starters even with the injuries are at the top of the league and the bullpen is the worst in the league. They have some depth in the OF to deal from with Ankiel, Shumaker, Duncan, Ludwick and their top minor league prospect Colby Rasmus......get it done.

Cubs and Brewers had a good game tonight. Luckily we came ahead. 2 games ahead, and our best pitchers up the next 3 days.

 

Taking one from Sabathia was a big statement. Looks like the Cubs have broken out of their offensive slump.

 

D Lee leads the league with groundouts to double plays, so I was happy that he contributed to the offense.
