Some outside shouts: Clinton Portis (yes, I'm homering up). Brandon Jacobs (if he can get the red zone work off Rueben Droughins). Steven Jackson (if the Rams OL can stay healthy and improve).
Its gonna be AD imo. I think he's going to overtake LT as the unquestioned best RB in the league this season. The Vikings defense is far better this year, and barring any injuries I think the offense can expect to be on the field a lot more often.
LT. I read that he's pissed about the questions of his toughness at the end of the year last year and he trained a lot harder in the offseason. Westbrook is a distinct possibility. Note that those two guys have QB's that are worth a crap (meaning AP nor Frank Gore will win it).
More likely that he'll be the focal point of a doctor's scalpel. Dude's got a ton of mileage and the wheels are just about to fall off. I think Westbrook. AD is brittle, and LT's just too obvious for me to pick.
I don't think its that much of a homer pick. Portis will be getting back to the same sort of system he was in at Denver and should get more chances with Zorn not planning on letting him come out of the game when he feels like it.
im thinking LT again however i must say with Mike Martz in charge down in the bay i hope Gore puts up some solid numbers - lets just hope the line is up to the job.
I will put all my v cash and 100 bucks real cash to all those who say ap is gonna lead the league in touchdowns that he wont make the top two. ap had 4 great games, the others were little to be desired. You look towards the end of the season his numbers dropped like a fat person at an 2.99 all you can eat buffet. Teams know how to stop him because his team has no passing game. let me rephrase that, the vikings have ABSOLUTELY NO PBUTTING GAME. i know they got berrian and who else? Double team and he is gone which leaves teams to allow 7 or 8 in the box taking away ap's beard and butter which is edge running. As for mr. jackson, well he would be a backup on the dolphins, enough said there. So sorry for those who truly believe in AP for the disappointment that he will be with the sophomore slumps.
dont hate...jackson is not that bad and came on strong at the end of the year...berrian and rice are gonna be solid options for him and that line is badbutt. AD runs hard on every play, he runs like hes never gonna get another carry again...your just being a hater
Im far from a hater in fact i traded for ap before last season in fantasy. Im just so shocked at how sure people are dispite that he did not play as well as everyone thinks. I said his stats prevously. Just do not be shocked when his stats are not what it was last year. Teams figured out how to solve him last season, and I forgot to mention his battle with that pesky injury bug. And jackson is bad.
mj speaks the truth. It's hard for a running back to get off when there is zero passing game to worry about. Now, that being said I think he's completely wrong about Steven Jackson.
