Watch the Johnson girl from Iowa. You talk about explosive. Her floor exercise is a must to see. She'll probably take the all around. I watch as much of the Olympics as I can work in. I get kind of pumped when we kick butt with the medals.

I'm interested in the 3 or 4 events where the Mexicans actually have a chance: diving, boxing, walk race and tae kwon do. I'll look around to see if I can find any odds for those...

Oh, yeah...that's huge around here...we used to dominate the event in every Olympics. Athens was the first time ever we came up empty.
Walk race should be an event in the Senior Olympics. Looking forward to this edition of the Olympics. Hope to see China do a gigantic face plant at home and the rest of the world pointing and laughing..

I wish I would have continued to run track in high school. I could run the 400 in under a minute in middle school and I absolutely hated that event and never practiced unless I had to. I love watching it now because I can identify with how difficult it is (along with the 800).
NBC is reshowing the Opening Ceremony again right now. I missed it earlier when I was at work. I will watch this until it gets boring. Holy freaking crap... That is by far the most incredible opening ceremony I have ever freaking seen... Costas talking about the intimidation that some people might feel because the host nation has 1.3 billion people being mitigated by the fact that the drummers were told to smile. This is gonna be the best Olympics ever!!!! This crap is a freaking trip dude... Is anyone else seeing this, or seen it? Ok it is getting gay. They are taking flags from children and goose stepping the flag to the pole. Screw.
Opening ceremonies are boring. BUT!... I saw some hot chicks there (most of them were latin). :icon_cheesygrin: I was hoping to watch some baseball but I found out the MLB teams hadn't let their players to go there. :(
I was thinking the same things when I watched it last night - the drummers were amazing, but then the reality check when the cute little kids gave the flag to the communist military - shades of the Cold War, eh?
Next year they have an obstacle course involving swimming a river, going thru barb wire,then running thru the desert. Yoi guys should sweep that one.
