So Mexico ends up with 2 golds and one bronze...our best Olympics since '84 Of course, if we keep score the american way, the Sidney Olympics would be our best ever because we won 1 gold, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes
We do too. The Mexican broadcasters made fun of the American spin machine to make them the winners of these games
We just find it funny that you have the medals table showing you guys #1 when they are the only ones to have the table ranked that way.
you can make all the snarky hollier then thou comments you want but i am damn proud of how the USA did in the olympics. We freaking owned the water cube with Aquaman leading the way wiht the single greatest olympics ever. Women's beach Volleyball was totally dominate never losing a set. Men's Beach Volleyball kicked butt. sure we had a let down in the track department, but i don't think a healthy Tyson Gay could have come close to Bolt anyways. Men's Basketball accomplished what they set out to do proving that we are still the premiere basketball county in the world and women's gymnastics while they struggled in the team competition Nasti and Shawn came back to kick butt individually. so we may not have won the most golds but we still came in and kicked some serious freaking ass
No one is denying and they did have a great games its just the whole medal table thing people find funny.
ok well when it comes to straight up gold medals yea we got freaking owned. but personally i am more into the individual accomplishments we had
I am too and think it should be something like 10 points for gold 5 for silver and 1 bronze although the whole medal table itsn't all that important anyway. You guys still have to find a way to be on top though:icon_wink:
