Maybe I was seeing things, but I could sworn Harley Race was in the audience when they showed Chris Jericho in the ring right after the Summerslam wife punch.
i think i saw him too RAW Results for 8/18: Chris Jericho opened the show. He said he was not there to apologize, and that Shawn Michaels should apologize for what happened to his wife. He hit a fall away slam, and followed with stiff punches, kicks and elbows. He hit three clotheslines from hell and covered. That led to a bizarre finish, as rather than count three, the referee counted one and then stopped his count and ruled the match over. Jamie Noble did a great job selling here. Mike Adamle came out to announce Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk for Raw, and said that Shane and Stephanie McMahon made the Unforgiven main event. It will be a championship scramble, with Punk, JBL, Kane, Batista and Cena in a five man, twenty minute match. Batista came out and fought with Kane. Batista hit a spear, but when he went for the Batista bomb Kane attacked his leg and hit a choke slam. Chris Jericho pinned CM Punk. Jericho hit a clothesline and back breaker. Punk retaliated with a high kick, butterfly suplex into a back breaker and high knee. Michaels said that if he does what he wants to Jericho he will be thrown in jail. Michaels agreed to waive all liability, so they settled on an unsanctioned match. Michaels said he will never forgive Jericho and at Unforgiven it will be eye for an eye. This was a very good segment. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase beat Jerry Lawler and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Its too bad there was such a break before this match took place, because Duggan and Lawler did a tremendous job building it. The heels worked over Lawler, who eventually pulled down the strap, made his comeback, and tagged Duggan. Duggan came in with clotheslines and hit the three point stance on DiBiase, but Rhodes broke up the pin. DiBiase then hit the cobra clutch leg sweep for the pin. After the match, Cody Rhodes vowed that they would get back their titles from Cryme Tyme. He added that Cryme Tyme will never win the titles. RAW Preview for 9/1 - Credit goes to WWE.com: Mounting tensions September 1, 2008 Though SummerSlam was just weeks ago, there is only one thing on the mind of WWE Superstars: Unforgiven. With a Championship Scramble set to feature five of Raws most powerful and intense competitors, tensions are running high. That heat just might explode on Raw as the five Superstars meet early in a Raw Battle Royal. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, new Scramble Match addition Rey Mysterio, JBL, Kane and Batista will all be in the ring, searching for a way to grab an early advantage heading into Sunday's pay-per-view. Who will be the man left smiling after Raw and bringing momentum to the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven? Another pre-Unforgiven meeting takes place as well, as Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho ink the contract for their Unsanctioned Match. This signing will be the first time these Superstars have been in the ring with each other since Y2J left HBK's wife in a world of pain. Will The Showstopper have a few words for his Unforgiven opponent just days before their contest? Also on Raw, Randy Orton plans to make a special appearance to address the title holders on Raw. Orton is a former 3-time World Champion, himself. What message will he deliver to the current champions? In addition to having four opponents at Unforgiven and a Raw Battle Royal, Rey Mysterio may have more to battle. After General Manager Mike Adamle announced that John Cenas recently sustained herniated disk in his neck would prevent him from competing in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble, he replaced Cena with Mysterio. But Mysterio has been missing from Raw for months, due to a brutal attack by Kane, if the Big Red Monster is to be believed. Will Mysterio be in good enough physical condition to compete at Unforgiven? And what type of mental state will the Ultimate Underdog be in? Last Monday night, Raws resident golden couple, Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella and Womens Champion Beth Phoenix, had a brief lovers spat, due to Santino distracting Beth during a match against Kelly Kelly and The Glamazons subsequent loss. While Glamarella appears to have reconciled, could this signal a rocky period for Santino and Beth? For the answers to these questions and more, make sure to tune into Monday Night Raw at 9/8 CT, back on its regular channel, only on USA Network.
Orton appears to be putting his stable together. Although I don't see Santino and Beth Phoenix fitting well. I'd prefer to see Morrision and The Miz.

Jericho tells Shawn that he's not sorry for what he did and his kids won't be watching because of what he will do to him. They sign the contract and then lay into each other to take Raw off the air.
Yeah, but they don't want to do 2 tag teams. And I don't see Santino sticking long. Maybe keep Phoenix as the valet role (similar to what Chyna did in the original DX) and bringing someone else in. I think 2 great fits would be Brian Kendrick or Shelton Benjamin, but they are stuck on Smackdown.
Santino is comedy gold. Doesn't fit at all with the aggression that works so well with Orton and Rhodes/DiBiase.
RAW Preview for 9/8: Credit goes to WWE.com: The night belongs to Jericho September 8, 2008 At Unforgiven, Chris Jericho experienced both one of the lowest and one of the highest points of his impressive career. Despite receiving a righteous beating at the hands of Shawn Michaels earlier in the night, the first-ever Undisputed Champion went on to win the first-ever World Heavyweight Championship Scramble. Having beat out four other Superstars to win the gold, who will World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho defend the title against first? And now that he has proven himself as Raws top-dog, can the rivalry between Jericho and HBK be put to bed? Now that hes defeated his rival and new World Heavyweight Champion, what does this mean for Shawn Michaels future and career? Jericho was not originally scheduled to be part of the Scramble, and only received his slot after then-World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk was stripped of the title after he was rendered unable to defend it. The Straightedge Superstar was attacked in the locker room area by Randy Orton along with World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase and Manu, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Afa. With the championship gold around the waist of Jericho, and a team of impressive second and third-generation Superstars to blame, who will feel Punks wrath first? Also, what is the nature of the alliance between Orton, Rhodes, DiBiase & Manu? Have they forged a new coalition of ruthless Superstars? World Tag Team Champions Rhodes & DiBiases performance wasnt solely limited to the beating they administered to the former World Heavyweight Champion, however. The two also successfully defended their titles against Cryme Tyme, proving that theres more to these competitors than impressive last names. With the more experienced Randy Orton seemingly in their corner, who will fall at the World Tag Team Champions feet next? For the answers to these questions, make sure to tune in to Monday Night Raw at 9pm et, 8pm ct only on USA Network
Is Evan Bourne not the freaking CRAP or what?! That tag match tonight was phenominal. I DVR'd RAW because of the Vikings game and I'm probably going to watch that match again tomorrow. I love Bourne and Morrison. Hopefully they have a program coming up together. That'd be some sweet crap.
To bad they are stuck on ECW. And is it just me, or has Randy Orton improved greatly on the mic? That was a hell of a promo he cut last night.
