I don't think it mattered what the Chargers scored, Denver was going to win that game 1 way or another. It just had that feel throughout.
If the Chargers got the ball they would have won. The Broncos couldn't stop the Chargers, crap if the Chargers had more time they could have still won even with the horrible calls. 15 points is a lot to give a team because of horrible calls and that's not even including the usual bad calls (phantom holds or missed penalties that usually happen). 2 possession changing bad calls. Kind of hard to win a game when you have that going against you, and it's not even like an iffy call both of them were obvious blown calls. And the worst thing is no matter what the NFL does (if they even do anything) it won't matter because the Chargers don't get the win they clearly deserved.
If the Chargers would have scored on the last 2 previous drives before the td instead of settling for fg's we wouldn't be discussing this... so
Well yea if the Chargers scored a TD every drive they'd most likely win but that isn't very likely. I don't think it's too much to ask for refs to get possession changing calls correct, especially when there's less than 2 minutes left. Just saying "my bad" isn't going to make the call right. Especially when it's one that was so obviously wrong, but there's nothing I can do about it other than hope that this game doesn't come back to haunt the Chargers this season. Chargers have a solid shot at finishing at 2-2 for September, which isn't exactly where I'd like them to be it's better than where they were last season. Defense has to seriously improve though. That's the only unit that hasn't been up to par so far this season.
