Awesome game! As far as the O is concerned this is great stuff. I can't remember the last time we had a drive that was three plays, all passes and all @ 20 yrds.(third td drive) to see it happen was almost a reminder of yesteryear. Sully has no problem with sending the ball downfield and i love it! He just missed VD twice for huge gains....had we connected with those the game would have been completely out of hand. Gore had a few 20+ yrd runs and Sully was right on target with his passes. He hit what, 9 different players? Defense, i don't care about. I'm not worried about our d taking care of things. It's all about seeing what the o can do and so far it's been very impressive. It's been 5 yrsa since we had back to back 30 + points and we've done it and made it look easy! damn, i'm excited!!!
seriously man...we're doing things that we haven't seen in a very long time. I might be over excited about it but it sure is fun as hell to watch! I can actually see us competing with some damn good teams this year...
Me too Beasty, the offense actually went down the field and scored instead of the 3 and outs we have all come to see much too often, the defense wasn't out there for days and tired as hell...today was a good day to sit and watch 49er football...Congrats 49ers!!!
Im not sold on the offense yet. The competition is not good. If we can do it week 5 against he eagles defense then it is real
Great call, Fez! :cheers: I've not seen the game but reading the gamebook on nfl.com, I notice we had only one three-and-out series. Only one! That doesn't happen often. Also, we were efficient on goal-to-go situations, 2 for 2 and four RZ trips = 33TDs, 1FG. Great! Sure it was only the Lions on the other side and the next 4 or 5 games are going to be tough as hell but let's enjoy that winning streak.
