Week 4 Who Do I Start Thread (WDIS)

WDIS threads will be posted every Monday. All game times listed are EST, the world's time zone.

Please post any roster questions for week 4 in this thread.

Not sure who to start? Post your questions here. Please do not ask to have your entire lineup filled out for you.

All posts must contain the following information for you to get the best answer:

    * Include your league scoring for the players in question.
    * How many do you start at that position?
    * Who are they playing?

    For example:
WDIS Ricky Williams vs NYJ or DeAngelo Williams @ SD. My other starter is Marion Barber.
We start 2 RBs and get 20yds/pt rushing and receiving, td/6pts.

Who do I start this week, normal scoring rules apply. I need three RBs out of this lot:

    Pierre Thomas (vs 49ers)
    Jamal Lewis (@ Cincinnati)
    Felix Jones (vs Redskins)
    Jerious Norwood (@ Carolina)

Ronnie Brown (who I should have started last week) is on a Bye week.

sit norwood out of that group

  5. TJ

    TJ Dez Caught It

I have Drew Brees against the 49ers and Trent Edwards against the Rams. I'm really tempted to start Edwards against the pathetic Rams defense, but...sitting Brees? I only start one QB, and it's standard scoring.

Ohh...I never, EVER ask for advice...but this decision is killing me

hes my issue is that parker isnt playing against the ravens.
so i can either start mendenhall at RB
    OR
i can move Maurice jones drew from the flex position to RB and start dyane bowe at flex.

standard yahoo scoring. 1 point for each 10 yards receiving/rushing and 6 for a TD

TJ - Brees is a must start, the type of numbers he can put up is hard to beat. I realize he'll be without Shockey and Colston, but he didn't have Colston last week either and still put up good numbers.

    My issue:
Derek Anderson or Brian Griese at QB, yes that is the best I can get

How'd you paint yourself in that corner? :icon_sad:

As much as it pains me to say I would go with BG only because Anderson was almost benched this week so I think he'll be on a very short leash this week. At least with BG he will play the whole game (barring injury).

My other QB has a bye.

i say go with anderson. hes got more to prove. when ur jobs on the line, most people are gonna step it up

  11. Garnett

    Garnett Gritt Tuff

I'd start Mendhenhall. Also, keep in mind I told Jammin last week to not start Ronnie Brown. My advice may not mean much.

Dilemna #1: Partial Points per Carry plus standard scoring at RB I need 1 here:
    Edge James @ NYJ
    Jonathon Stewart vs Atlanta

Dilemna #2: Standard scoring, need 1 RB here:
    Steven Jackson vs Buffalo
    Chris Johnson vs Minnesota

Dilemna #3: Standard scoring, need 1 Defense:
    Tennesee vs Minnesota
    Jacksonville vs Houston

Tough choice this week. Standard scoring (or close to it)

    Who I am starting:
    QB Cutler
    D/ST Pittsburgh
    K Prater
RB Westbrook (I picked up Buckhalter, in case he can't go)
    RB Steven Jackson
    WR Brandon Marshal

    The tough ones (WR, RB/WR)
(right now I am leaning towards Johnson and Gage)
    Eddie Royal vs. KC
    Selvin Young vs. KC
Chris Johnson vs. Minn (White is complaining of a sore shoulder)
    Justin Gage vs. Minn
(Kevin Curtis, but I don't think he is going until next week)

and my TE delima.. how would you like this choice...
Gonzales or Sheffler (in KC as much as I hate to, I'm thinking Tony)

    Which One Gets The Start?

I can only start two rb's and have M.Turner already in ..My best options for the second slot are Michael Pittman and J.Lewis.

Pittman has scored every weak and plays in KC so he should score yet again. Odds are very good.

Lewis is somewhat slowed with a hammy but plays Cincy and their 28th ranked rush defense. Odds of a good day are great.

who would you go with and why?

as crazy as this sounds turner might be the one to bench. Carolina has kept backs like LT AP and forte in check while the bengals can't stop the run and kansas city is about as bad as a team can be on defense against the run. If that option scares you then lewis should be getting a lot of carries with anderson not playing up to par.

I play Lewis instead of Pittman if you get points for carries and yards. Lewis should get more carries and Pittman is part of a RB by committee in Denver.

I was thinking that as well. I just can't bring myself to bench him....:icon_sad:

Edit- I just benched him and started Pittman and Lewis....it's supposed to rain which is another indication to bench him....

oh well, i'm in last place anyhow lol

just remind yourself what he did against a solid defense in tampa bay. Carolina not as good but still up there in quality.

I'd start Lewis because he's pissed. He should have a big day against that Bungle D.
