Have you followed baseball at all? The Marlins have one of the best lineups and starting rotations in baseball. The Marlins starters were MUCH better than the Yankees this year and I'm not sure about the numbers, but I'm willing to bet the run production was just about the same for both clubs. The only difference between the Marlins and Yankees is about 190 million dollars.

As for the NL East being weak, it was probably the third best division in baseball this year. What other division had three teams beating the crap out of each other for the top spot for a few months? The AL East may have 2 playoff teams, but it was also a two horse race for the large majority of the season.

And to answer you're question for TJ, he's talking crap because Oliver Perez is his hero and came up short yesterday.:icon_mrgreen:

No sympathy at all for the Mets' players (except maybe David Wright, who I respect somewhat), but I do feel bad for their fans. I can't imagine having to miss the playoffs on the last day of the season two years in a row.
