Charlie Manuel, always loved talking with his mother about his job as Phillies manager. He enjoyed hearing her opinions on his strategy and how well she knew his players, seemingly liking different ones on different days. "She knew every one of them," Manuel said Saturday. "She liked Jimmy Rollins. She liked (Ryan) Howard. She liked anybody that had a good day." And before he said his final goodbye Friday to June Manuel in Buena Vista, Va., the place where he grew up, Manuel made sure his mother had one special souvenir. "I put a Phillies hat in her casket. I sure did," he said.

Death sucks thats all I gotta say. Seemed like she lived a full life though, how old was she?

She was in her 80s. She lived a full life, but it's always sad to hear about someone losing their mom.

Thank you for not spelling farewell with a ph.
