I can't express in words how disappointed I am with this Phillies offense. So many chances, so little results.

Phillies close the inning with a double play, going to the 8th

 

I'm conflicted on how I feel about the double play. It seems like this game is lost, so it would have been nice to get a middle reliever or two in there after the long layoff. Then again, I still hope we can have a miracle come back.

Rays are 3 outs away from a win, and have a chance to maybe get some insurance runs here.

too many mistakes and another questionable call by an ump. although if ryan howard learned to frigging stretch to a throw baldelli would've been out and it could've been a different ballgame.

shame because myers actually pitched pretty good but the rays did what the phillies haven't done and that's getting RISP with less than two outs home. three runs off of outs for the rays. there's your ballgame in a nutshell.


put the freaking ball in play phils, put it in play.

 

The ump was horrible tonight, but there's no way to blame him if we let 11 runners on base.

Let's hope we can hit the ball better at CBP.

Frustrating game for sure, but at least we got the split and took home field advantage. We can't possibly be any worse with runners in scoring position from here on out.

 

i hope you're right dawk. they need to stop swinging for the fences and looking at ptiches when we have guys on 3rd with less than two outs. put the ball in play. runs are coming at a premium for both teams. you have to take advantage of the opportunities.

 

the officiating so far in this series has been questionable at best.

If Game 3 gets rained out they will play 5 games in 5 days. Looks like it's going to come down to the pens in this one.
