Much respect for Patrick Cote. I feel really bad for that dude. Btw, don't know if it's been said before, but the fans are idiots. If they don't stop booing the wrong stuff, fighters should be allowed some measure of retort. Who was that incompetent ref for the Kos/Alves fight? He clearly hasn't ref'd much MMA before.
No kidding - they could be throwing punches and was saying... come on guys, lets go gentlemen, get moving......:laughy32:
the yahoo article i just read made it sound like Silva was dancing around the ring more than anything?
He was. I think he was looking for a KO or quick strike combo the whole night. He wasn't picking him apart as easily as he could've and Cote had a great gameplan. Despite not much action, Cote's movement, hand positioning and confidence level really showed last night. Silva was looking for his usual quick combo of punches and knees to end the fight but Cote wasn't giving him any openings. Cote was also moving his head very well and keeping his hands up and tighter then I've ever seen. He looked really good imo. Silva wasn't trying to jab, kick clinch enough to keep the action pressed. He was shuffling his feet and pacing the cage for an opening that never came.
