It may be crazy, but because the Phillies won the world series and I now have experienced a championship and what comes with it, I find that I don't care as much about the Eagles losing or trailing in a game. Don't get me wrong, I want the Eagles to win and I love my team, but I have this calm over me that I just never had before. I was so worried that I would never experience a championship that now that I have, I just don't feel as anxious as I normally would during an Eagles game.
I knda agree with what you're saying there, Mike. But I have been in a "Don't-give-a-dam" zone about the Eagles for about a year or two now. Yea- I want them to win. Yea- there my team. But they seem to let me down every week and every year. I need to cut my lawn on sundays or trim the bushes or go somewhere with my kids and I don't lose much sleep about not watching the game. If they win- Cool! If they lose, Dam- what's for dinner, dear?
I hear ya, mike. I definitely feel less anxious, but nothing will ever stop me from screaming at my television during games.
