Agreed. I know the next time I watch it what scenes to fast forward through. So many of the other scenes were so powerful that those brought it down and I just couldn't wait to get to the good stuff. I'll definitely check it out again.

 

my favorite Peckinpah flick has to be "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid." not action packed to say the least, but very well done IMO

i actually prefer the original version over the restored extended cut.

 

What did you think of BMTHOAG, Mike? Or have you not seen it?

 

have it, but haven't seen it yet. i think i started it one day and then stopped it because i wasn't in the mood that day. i definitely plan to see it again. just have to be in the right mood for Peckinpah to truly appreciate him :icon_cool:

 

I'm sure you'll like it. Keep in mind while watching it that he actually wrote this one as compared to Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. He put a ton of genres into this film.

 

i forgot to mention that i attempted to watch a piece of crap called "The Descent." awful. terrible and annoying acting, and the creatures weren't even that scary. i saw that i had 30 minutes left to go, and i couldn't even make it. figured no ending in the world could save it. thank god it was only a rental

 

If you guys have something that rhymes with "titpourent" you should be able to get DVD quality screeners. I did.

Lots of cam quality versions available free if you do not have "pourent" capability.

 

Just watched Tenacious D movie cause there was a D marathon on Comedy Central this AM and it made we want to..... the movie didn't live up to my extraordinarily high expectations but after rewatching it really is pretty damn good.

 

"Hellboy 2: The Golden Army." very entertaining and awesome. it's not better than the first, but it is a worthy sequel with a lot of action and cool creatures/effects

 

Yeah saw that one in the theater. Good fun action bangbang punchpunch fun, just an old fashioned nicely crafted FUN movie.

 

indeed. it's fun to watch movies like that, especially when they're well done

i think you'll like it if you enjoyed the first one. again, i still think the first one is better, but it's a very enjoyable sequel and great for when you just want to watch a fun action flick. cool creatures, too

 

Yeah, I enjoyed the first one so I'm sure I'll like this one too.

 

Watched "The Happening" last night........a complete waste of $5. I'm glad I didn't go to the theatre and pay $30.....

 

"Maxed Out." well done, but depressing as FREAK

it was cool that they used some clips of Louis CK doing stand up

 

Watching "Tropical Thunder" right now.

An hour in and I'm really enjoying it.
