so you werent a bit surprised the eagles made the playoffs? it was a long shot earlier in the season and then they got to a point where all they had to do was beat the skins and the cowboys and they were guaranteed in and how that alone happened is very surprising, then they lost to the redskins....all hope was supposed to be lost. like i said somehow they weaseled their way in, luck played a big role in that cause they didnt just need help they needed alot of help. sure the convincing victory over the cowboys was the one that sealed it but dont ask like you werent surprised that they had a chance at all come week 17
you eagle fans can gang up on me as much as you want, im used to it i live in philly....this conversation wont matter after they lose on sunday anyway i tried having a debate with baskett about it earlier and hes such a homer my body hurt after talking to him, like seriously my joints became stiff
Surprised yes.... think they don't deserve it.... no. The teams that make the playoffs are the teams that deserve to be there.... if the other teams deserved to be there they would be there instead..... that's how it works. IF they win Sunday... do they deserve to be there then?
the one thing about being an Eagles fan that moved to the west coast that sucks is that most games the Eagles are involved in start at 10am. It's a bit early to be drinking beers
if they beat the giants in the meadowlands again then yes they deserve to be in the nfc championship game despite the mediocre season. maybe not deserving was the wrong way to put it, but they definitely lucked out and mike oxlong....if its to early to drink beer then take a few shots so you forget how early it is
he makes my brain bleed and not in a good way and btw, the chargers were 4-8 and they won their division, lol point blank the Eagles did what they had to do when it counted to make it and are 4-1 in their last 5 games, in the nfl any team can win on any given sunday. Yeah they lost to the skins (divisional rivalries usually throw matchups out the window) and tied the skins, but they also beat the Giants, Steelers, Falcons and Cardinals - all playoff teams. In the parity league that is the nfl, it is ever more becoming about who is playing the best at the right time.

I really couldn't have said it better myself. Just because it's surprising that it happened does not mean the team didn't deserve it. We needed teams to lose for it to happen, but every team needs other teams to lose. Even the best team in football needs a little help, it's just not as blatantly obvious because a good amount usually doesn't need to come in the last week. Like pp said, if there was a more deserving team, they'd be in our spot.
yeah, that 8 point victory was super impressive, they really showed us that our awful oline was really quite as terrible as we all thought... steelers may very well be one and done but i guarantee they last at least 4 hours longer than the eagles
