Raiders Sign Free Agent QB Jeff Garcia

The Raiders are confirming the signing of free agent quarterback Jeff Garcia. Garcia, 39, considered signing with the Raiders two years ago after a visit to Alameda, only to instead sign with Tampa Bay in part because he wanted a chance to start and realized Oaklands first pick was likely to be quarterback JaMarcus Russell.

Hopefully Garcia gets a chance to compete for the starting job. I understand Russell is a #1 overall pick, but he has never learned from a true veteran leader. IMO this is actually a really good signing for Oakland

 

OMG, you should hear the Raider fans where I work, bunch of losers...All of them now are singing Garcia's praises about him being exactly what they need, he's a pro bowler, he's what they need a great...GREAT mind you, presence on the field funny how no one says anything about him being gay now that he's going to Oaktown..pathetic buttholes.

Garcia is an excellent addition. I hope that he pushes Russell to the limits and teaches him hard work, something that he has not learned yet.

i like this signing. great depth and he may be able to teach/push Jamarcus to get better at the position.
