Our beat guys have mentioned Peters' name in the past, and according to Smith, the Eagles have "engaged in serious discussions" with the Bills about him. Per Smith, those talks could heat up again as the draft approaches. Remember, Smith reported earlier this offseason that Donovan McNabb had met with Eagles management and wanted to see what weapons the Eagles would add before looking at a contract extension.

eh, a lot of those sacks are his young qb's fault.

regardless, do you think the eagles feel comfortable that they have somebody in-house that can play lt well enough?

well we have herremans, we signed stacy andrews and have a long list of young prospects on the oline. I don't doubt that we will draft 2 or more among our 12 picks in the upcoming draft, I just don't see them paying a ton of money to a guy that is overrated and is due a big payday that would immediately become the headache of the Eagles. no thank you

mike, as much as you hate the thought, this sounds like something the Eagles would be interested in. hmmmm.

Did you watch much Bills football last season? The sack numbers were completely Peters fault. He held out and came in to the season in poor shape and never regained the form of 2007. Dude straight up sucked last year and he has no one to blame but himself, not Edwards.

If I was the Eagles I would give the second first for him. he is gonna be better than any OT you'd get at that pick.

Dude had a crapty season because he held out. A full TC and training camp and he is one of the best LT's in football

Unlike your avy, Peters is not his brother's keeper. He had one good season and is so intent on getting paid he screwed over himself and the rest of that o-line in 2008.

One and a half at LT. Overall he has had a few solid years

I would definatly take him over Beatty, Smith and Britton. Even if Im paying top money

I wouldn't take him over Britton based on what I've read recently. His stock is rising fast.

you know i luv ya wide right and yes, i did see several Bills games last season, including one live and in person.

Is Peters as good as Anthony Munoz? no, that's not what i'm saying. and i agree that he wasn't as good in 2008, probably due to the holdout. however, the bills receivers aren't exactly adept at getting open quickly each and every time and Edwards doesn't exactly make quick reads yet. With a better offense (i.e. the Eagles) who have an experienced, quick reading QB (McNabb) and better wide receivers who get open on a more consistent basis (i.e. the Eagles), I think you would find that Peters is not as bad as you're picturing him (especially if he is in shape and has time to gel with his o-line).
