The Day The Earth Stood Still - 2 out of 5 stars
What a piece of crap. I want to punch Jaden Smith in face no matter his age or who his father is. They should have had GORT or whatever it was called just start freaking crap up.

One thing I loved about the movie though that really got me up and cheering was when they DESTROYED Giants Stadium! It reminded me of the Eagles playoff game there last year.

 

i will not see that piece of crap. The original was great. You should watch it again to get that crap of a remake out of your mind.

 

I can't watch the original again as I've never seen it a first time. A friend of mine told me how great the original was. Then he went back and watched it again for the first time in a long time, and he told me he overrated it. I'm sure it's leaps and bounds better than this version though.

 

it's great for the time period it came out and the story it conveys, if you are a sci fi fan, then it is just a classic. I wouldn't go into it expecting to see one of the greatest movies you ever saw.

Seems like we agree again Dawk... Will Smith' son was terrible in the movie, it was pretty obvious and the movie itself wasn't very great

 

I'm guessing you were also a fan of Giants Stadium getting hecked up like that.

 

This might have been the worst movie ever made.

 

wow i almost bought that movie tonight without seeing it. But i saw that there were still quite afew movies there after it being out so..I went with the safe pick "Enter the Dragon".

By the way just watched "Enter the Dragon" still great.

Watched S Darko...very good, not as great as Donnie Darko..but really cool

Watched 'The Uninvited'. Not at all what I expected and was very dissapointed.

 

i just watched "Battle Royale". Its wierd and i really dont like japanese films, and this is an extreme one.
