Byron Leftwich, the backup quarterback to Ben Roethlisberger last year, is visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today. Leftwich, an unrestricted free agent, has been told by the Steelers they would like to have him back. He visited the Washington Redskins last week. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
that. DO NOT.. Put yourself on this team, Byron. Even if they offer you the starting job. Ok ok.. if they tell you you'll start, take it. But otherwise, no. :icon_evil:
well, a thread was just posted that says they are working on a contract so it looks like it's definitely a possibility. if raheem gets someone in there that is capable and leaves him in there, he'll be fine. hopefully he saw that gruden's 'rotating qb' system didn't quite work.
Morris doesn't seem like Gruden in any way, shape, or form. If Leftwich is signed, he'll start, Luke will be his backup.
Damn man. Why can't Byron sign with a playoff contender, like Minny? lol. Make them into a superbowl contender. ;-). Sucks he won't have Galloway with his big arm. There was also a thread saying Skins and Byron was in contract talks, but that led no where.. I just hope he signs a contract that makes him the starter.
dude why are you dissing the bucs, we may be rebuilding but he we have alot of talent, also he wouldnt be guaranteed to start, luke has alot of talent to, them 2 and josh johnson should battle it out, and i would rather have antonio bryant than joey galloway, i wouldnt be suprised if bryant aint a better deep threat too, did you see bryant last year as a deep threat?
a thread was posted last night that says byron has now also left tampa without a contract. isn't this the 3rd or 4th visit he has made that has resulted in no agreement? are byron's demands too high? is he not willing to accept an incentive-laden deal?
