The Bears made a play for Anquan Boldin before the draft, but Arizona wanted more than the Bears' second-round pick. Agent Drew Rosenhaus recently sent out a message via his Twitter account saying he expects Boldin to be traded before training camp. Angelo was asked if the Bears might get back in the bidding. "I'm not going to say 'No' to anything," he said. "Things have changed now from when we were exploring that before. But [Rosenhaus] also made the statement that someone was going to give the Cardinals a first-round pick. That's part of the salesmanship for his client. I don't know what Arizona is going to do. [Boldin] is under contract. We really can't talk about that. Just leave it at that." Source: Chicago Tribune
Well, the Cardinals are asking for a second round pick and other considerations for Boldin. The Bears have what the Cardinals are looking for, Jerry Angelo won't offer all of what they are looking for.
Boldin to Chicago automatically makes the Bears the Favorite in the North in my opinion. If it only costs them a 2nd + player or 2nd 4th and 6th then I would think the Bears have to pull the trigger
I agree... I'd be willing to give up a 1 and a 5, but don't they already owe next years 1 to Denver? or am I mistaken?
Oh God a Cubs fan agrees with me now I am scared. :icon_confused: But then again you are an Irish fan so that saves your soul from eternal damnation. As far as next years pick goes I do not know that answer so I will leave that to the people smarter then I
Yeah but see, you're not only a Cardinals fan, you're a Lakers fan. That automatically means you've been hit with the goober stick...:icon_cheesygrin: and for the Irish, I'm a Chicagoan... but the way Obama's being crapted on by some students there is making me think about changing my tune...
The Cardinals changed their asking price for Boldin? If it's just a 2nd round pick and other draft considerations they are asking for, thats not so bad.
