For the second year in a row, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has fallen short in his attempt to advance to sectional qualifying for the U.S. Open. Romo did not give himself a chance to go deep in qualifying, shooting an 80 at the local level Monday, The Dallas Morning News reported. He shot 44 on the back nine, with five bogeys and a triple-bogey on No. 16 sacking his scorecard at Dallas National Golf Club. He shot even par on the front nine in the rain. Tony Romo of Dallas Cowboys shoots 80, fails to qualify for U.S. Open - ESPN So...he did fine in the first half of the course, and then choked as usual. Yeah, that's Tony Romo :icon_confused:
only a cowboys fan would have a frame of mind like this. I bet you always are gonna tell me you will be a better team with out terrell owens to huh.
Yeah because he trains year round to win pga championships that's what it's all about right? Go talk up another Cowboys fan, you're barking up the wrong tree buddy.
I didnt really get his point there. I even re-read it a few times to make sure it was in fact garbage
It's teams fans that are mad that Terrell didn't like playing for their gay QB, or someone who choked worse then Romo ever thought about [Mcnabb in the Superbowl... eek].
I could make jokes but in all honesty its a hell of an achievement to even get good enough to have a shot at qualifying for it and thats before taking into consideration the fact hes a pro footballer. Most guys play/train all year round for it while for him its his #2 sport so for the one and only time in my life I will tip my hat to mr Romo.
so choking in the 1st round of the playoffs every year is a lessor embarrassment than getting to the super bowl now ... gotcha.
good to know he doesn't need a little extra practice and can focus on his golf game. he does get a jump on the rest of the division each year. good QB, but not great and with this trend it will continue to stay that way.
