On Tuesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell explained that there is a significant difference between true lotteries and sports wagering. That theory is soon to be put to the test in the court of public opinion. Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal reports that the leagues owners voted Tuesday to allow teams to align with state lotteries, which will result in team logos appearing on lottery tickets.

Is this for those scratch off tickets, or the random number drawing ones?

um, am I the only one that finds this incredibly hypocritical of the league? I understand the difference between sports wagering and lotteries and that the nfl wants to protect the integrity of the game by not supporting sports wagering but, to me, this is kind of like me preaching to my kids that smoking is bad and then proceeding to get crapfaced on a bottle of vodka right in front of them ....................

They already do it with beer...they're only taking money out of their own pocket by not allowing it with the liquor companies. The NBA just approved this recently as well and it seems to be working out for them.
