Who would you start-backup(or 2 back set)-3rd string I am torn on this. Felix was great the time he played, however he went in tashards shadow once he stepped up. With the new season ariving in some months..what would you want our depth chart to be
id love a 2 back set with Jones and Choice. Barber just idk..looks tired all the time. hes slowing down and is not a gaurntee broken tackle any more.
I think Felix Jones needs about ten carries a game. 15 for barber. Choice can take a pounding, but he is not that effective as Barber or Jones. I also like Alonzo coleman, he did better than i thought hje would against the steelers last season.
Start Choice and finish with Barber Choice is the better all around runner, while Barber is more physical. Have Jones compliment them both
ithink MBIII should be fetured more in the 2 nd half of the games.......let choice and jomes wear that defense downa bit and then let the barbarian come and pound them out
My RB Depth Chart.... Is, Idc.. we have 3 guys that can get yards, use them. Instead of pass 1st down, 2nd down, then run a draw on 3rd and 7. Use any 3 of the guys on 1st and 2nd down more often, please. In prefrence, I would like to save MBiii till 2nd half for sure though
The best thing is, none of us know what the situation is going to be. And you know what, I'm happy about that... Cause all 3 of them are good, all 3 of them can make guys miss, and all 3 of them can carry the load. I'm a little surprised by you're guy's comments on Barber. Let's not forget he was pretty banged up for the last 6-7 games of the season, he was playing injured and still doing pretty well considering the fact. He wasn't tearing it up, or really providing a legit rushing attack for us, but he did well under the circumstances. Word is, is that Choice is looking extremely good at the mini-camps, which is great, but I don't think that changes anything. It's going to be the same as last season. Barber will see majority of the carries, early in games for sure. However, we will probably see alot more of Felix, not like last season where we would be itching, and yelling to see him get in the game at times. and Choice will get carries in games, like blowouts, and 4th quarters. With all that being said, I love all 3 running backs.... No Barber hasn't lost a step or anything like that, he's still going to be crazily effective, c'mon! don't kid yourselves guys!
The problem with barber carrying the load especially early in games is just that.....injury's. He is probably the most physical runner in the NFL, and playing heavily early in games, and giving him the majority of carry's leaves him more susceptible to injury. Choice is quicker and has a more shifty style, I think he is the much better option to open games
