Speaking at Tuesday's organized team activities session, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said of veteran outside linebacker Greg Ellis: "It's likely Greg will play somewhere else next year." Jones spoke of his immense respect for Ellis and said his offseason complaining the last three years had nothing to do with his decision. Jones indicated that he's given Ellis and his agent permission to speak to other teams, but a trade is unlikely given the fact that Ellis is on the books for $4.15 million in 2009. Source: ESPN.com
come to the bears so that you can play LOLB :) then we will own the most terrifying LB set in the league
He's a 4-3 DE, 3-4 OLB. He's 34, and is 2-years removed from ACL surgery. I wouldn't call it the most scary LB set. Remember he played with D-Ware and he still got the most attention...and still got himself 20 sacks. Ellis is a situational pass rusher at this point in his career.
I like Ellis in Cleveland. He's a big upgrade over Bowens. He'd definitely improve the Browns front 7...if I'm the Browns, I make it happen. Set Hood at nickel back and the defense is a lot better than last year. Still not great, but a step in the right direction.
I think he wants to go back to a 4-3 I think his best spot would be NO. Smith and grant both have looming suspenions, and Ellis would give them a legit pass rusher to ease the loss. And when they come back, that would make for a nasty 3 man wrecking crew at DE. Ellis can play both DE spots
HmM hey jerry, why i love all the changes that you are making..while your at it GET THE FREAK RID OF WADE AND DOUSHEBAG JASON GARRETT. God Bless, King Romo
I still want to see Garrett's playcalling without T.O. yelling at him that he wants the ball. Wade? Oh, yes, please. Kick him out of the ranch. kthx
didnt we have a coach named Bill Parcels............ and yes good luck to Ellis but got to let the yougins get in
