i'm having constant probs w/ the site get rid of booth to speed up the site if you have to if games want to be played theirs plenty of gaming sites don't screw up the football with the games

The VPS we just moved to isn't able to handle our database which they somehow neglected to tell us so we're moving to a dedicated server through the generous donation of Hermhater and his friend who has graciously offered to host us, something he doesn't necessarily do which we are very grateful for. When the move is finally done and with the optimizing that is going to be done on the site we hope to have what we always wanted a fast site, a site that won't ever be shut down due to too much traffic or spikes in traffic, we know this sucks donkey balls right now but we are doing it now so that we will be up and ready when the season hits and hopefully the majority of our members will still be with us because you all know it is about you members that all this is being done.
that is kewl. i'm just sayin' that if these two thibgs slow the site or take from the football on the site they both should just be dumped. if not no big deals
Right now dumping both wouldn't make the site any faster we're told but the casino as I said isn't getting fixed by the author of the games. Trust me SteveRobWhatever would dump everything except the football if it would help.
Believe me...this is really opening up my eyes too. If people don't care...why are we keeping both? I have a lot to think about....
I think that some members like having the Arcade championships in their profile. I personally like playing poker without leaving the site, but if the casino isn't supported then it should go. There's lots of ways to get people together to play a game on Pogo or Yahoo. That reminds me, I still need to get the GIF Spades tournament set up.
I just thought that the casino was fun to interact with members and play some poker. It was usually the same couple of people that would visit the poker room not that many.
I've changed my mind since HH finally changed his avatar. Screw'em both if it affects the server. Let it go so I can finally post news in real time and not be dealing with white pages, not logged in, cache pages, etc, etc. We can live and be more productive with out the gibberish and chatskies.
From what sweets is saying, it's not affecting the server that much...but if it is, I agree 100%. I try to post news and am having a hell of a time. That's one thing I have trouble doing along with a few others. If no one is even interested enough to vote on it, I agree with a few people in here and say let them both go...
Everytime I've visited the Casino I get pissed off because of the bugs that Sweets has mentioned. Playing Poker is next to impossible because of the slow speed, getting booted etc... I use the arcade late at night a lot so I would vote to keep it, BUT as everyone else has said, I dont come here to play games, I could live without both if we needed to get rid of them.
