Trent Green, who began his NFL career in 1993, told FOXSports.com Friday morning that he has finally decided to retire. Green played for the Chargers, Redskins, Rams (twice), Chiefs, and Dolphins. He earned a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in 2000, and was selected to two Pro Bowls with the Chiefs in 2003 and 2005. "I feel this is finally the right time," Green said while on vacation with his family. "I've talked about it with (the family) for a while, especially with the concussions over the last few years. We all felt it was the time to do it."

It's the best thing for you to do Trent.

I hope to see you back at Arrowhead in some capacity in the future.

Congratulations on a successful NFL career, and getting out while you still have all your marbles.

Smart decision - this guy was working his way into the Romanowski realm of concussions, time to quit while he can still taste his wifes cooking.

The right time was when he was no longer a Chief, but better late than never. Although, there isn't really a never..

    Agreed nemesis.

He should have retired a Chief.

    86WARD -

It's nice to see that Green is retiring on his own terms and feeling some of the best he has health wise that he has in years. I'm sure he'll find a place in the broadcast booth or on a set somewhere...
