when ESPN aquired the NBA site 'True Hoops' they left it alone pretty much
i hope NBC does the same with PFT.

 

that site used to be the worst, it's gotten better with reporting actual news, but don't act like he or that site didn't report every crazy rumor imaginable as news.

 

I will say he and that site have gotten a bit better, but I wouldn't say that he's been more accurate than anyone, I think they finally smartened up. There used to be tons of "articles" that had "sources", but now, I would say 95% have an actual source. He cut out the bullcrap for the most part in the beginning and that helped him, but he used sensationalism and BS to get people to come to the site and you won't convince me of otherwise.

 

Same way that Peter King reports to get people over there then takes it back the next day?

 

I think that ESPN will acquire GIF...

 

While that would be a bigger pay day for Steve, I'm hoping it's NFL Network.

Yes it does. However the good news is that PFT is more Drudge Report than anything else. Florio and Drudge just link to other people's stories and then somehow get credit for being a journalist themselves. So alternate sources do exist. Their "exclusive" scoops are few.

 

This is true...but once in a while they find a nut. However, we'll work around it...if we can get by the AP, we'll be able to get by this...

 

yeah, like I stated above, they mainly source everything, there is usually a red highlighted and underlined portion of their article that you can just click on for the original source.
