Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White defended his friend and teammate Vince Young regarding recent statements made by the quarterback about the possibility of being traded. White, speaking on radio station KLAC in Los Angeles Monday, says Young is only a competitor who wants to play in recent remarks made about perhaps seeking a trade from the Titans if he is not the starter. The quarterbacks agent Major Adams later distanced himself and Young from those remarks. You know, I was with Vince yesterday and Vince is very competitive, White said Monday. Thats just the competitive side of him. He wants to play and I understand that. I want to play and be the starter. I feel like if the Titans didnt want me, there are plenty of other teams that will. Thats just the competitive nature of yourself. Vince is a Titan and he loves that. He loves being in the locker room with us, he loves being around us. But its that itch to play he loves playing football. Source: Nashville City Paper
He is so competitive that he'd prefer to leave if he doesn't earn/is given the starting job than fighting for it.
How can you be ultra competitive but not want to compete for the job. That USC education is really paying of Lendale.
Right on LenWhale... Come on guys...please remember, LenWhale has been recommitted to football... :icon_rolleyes: He's not only become more committed to working out but also becoming a better teammate...lol...
Lendale just knows that when Vince walks out the door he is the number one headcase for the Titans and he doesn't want that to happen. He like being behind Vince and from some of the evidence in this thread it seems like Vince may enjoy Lendale being behind him as well.
