Since he hasnt yet signed his franchise tender, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs hasnt shown his face in Baltimore all offseason. But, the three-time Pro Bowler expects to reconnect with the team for the first day of training camp, which officially begins for veterans on July 29. If he does, that would mean that Suggs and his agent, Gary Wichard, have come to an agreement on a long-term contract extension with the Ravens. I feel like were getting close, Suggs said in an exclusive interview with BaltimoreRavens.com. Negotiations are going on with the Ravens. Fans can be optimistic that Ill be [at training camp]. Good news all around for the Ravens, I would imagine. Get Suggs back, get him locked in long-term and get some more $$$ to throw around this offseason (like at a WR perhaps??!?)
Once we get Suggs locked in then we will be able to pursue WRs but as has been said before we are worse off with a big time WO and no Suggs than with Suggs and the WOs we have - the guys a beast and deserves the monster pay day that he'll get.
Make him happy, he's a fantasy keeper of mine and I need him 100% focused on ripping heads off this season.
update: the numbers have been agreed upon, just some of the language they are working out, T sizzle says he'll be at training camp day 1!
Thats great - I hope its a long contract, Sizzle is a great player that I would like to root for for a long time.
