Sportsbook.com has updated its odds for winning Super Bowl XLIV, and its top three picks to represent the NFC in the title game are the New York Giants (10-1), the Dallas Cowboys (12-1) and the Philadelphia Eagles (12-1). Bill Belichick's bunch are overwhelming favorites at 3.5-1. Trailing the Patriots on the AFC side are Pittsburgh (10-1), Indianapolis (12-1) and San Diego (12-1). Source: The Dallas Morning News
I dont think dallas has a great shot at the superbowl. Not because i dont like them its because they just lost a huge offensive contributer and havent really done much in the offseason to improve.
I also think Vegas has to look at it this way. If they have a team in Baltimore's division listed as the second most likely team to make the superbowl it doesn't make much sense to list them Fourth if they view the Chargers as equal or just about equal to baltimore.
no offense, but I would agree with San Diego is better than Baltimore, I am expecting big things from their offense, and with Shawn Merriman back, and drafting Larry English their Defense should be much better across the board.
Exposed all the way to the bank - historically we are pretty darn good when we aren't favoured, so I'm immune to your disdain.
out side of the Record. To me Flacco's rookie year was a carbon copy of Big Ben's throw when need to lean on a defense and running game make the confrence title game. Was big Ben exposed? No so what makes you think Flacco will be.
ben was better is pressure situations, alot better. flacco throws into the ground when the pass protection isnt flawless. flacco is no carbon copy of ben, when i look at flacco his closely resembles tommy maddox. we'll wait and see but they arent gonna be able to baby him forever and he will be exposed....the defense took some big losses at CB and LB and the DC. steelers beat them 3 times last year, i dont see what that should change
Giants?? eek. And if the Eagles are faves to be in the superbowl, no way you can't say Dallas isn't. ridiculous statement. Not because i'm a cowboys fan, but because i'm a realist.
I do. All 3 of those games they beat Baltimore were very close and coulda gone either way, plus they got a huge benifit of that goal-line call. It's not like they blew BAL out by 25 in any of those games, 1 or 2 plays in each of those games and BAL coulda had all 3. Throw in the fact Flacco was just a rookie too and i dont see your point at all.
I'm not a fan of either team, but Philly definately did alot in the offseason, and Dallas hasn't, not to mention that Romo and Co. need to prove they can win a playoff game before they will have any serious consideration. They've been a favorite the last couple of years and proved not to be deserving.
ok well we can wait and see, i just think flacco is gonna hit his ceiling way faster than a first round QB should
Dallas wont even make the playoffs. from the NFC id say the top 3 should be the Giants (duh), Panthers (will run all over everybody again) and Saints (best offense in NFL, majorly improved D).
