Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports two NFL sources said the Baltimore Ravens may revisit the idea of trading for unhappy Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall if veteran Derrick Mason doesn't return from his sudden retirement. The Ravens think Mason's retirement was partly a ploy to help get more money from the team since he asked to renegotiate his deal earlier in the offseason. I wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens add Marshall but I hope Denver isn't looking for a first and third for him. A second round pick wouldn't be too bad and maybe a later round pick.
I'm sure Ozzie wouldn't do that unless they feel very desperate. Like many of us say in Baltimore "In Ozzie we trust".
I can agree with that, unless Marshall just makes everyone miserable in camp and forces Denver to trade him. :icon_wink:
Schefter had reported a couple weeks ago that a 2nd was the going rate in the face of all Marshall legal problems. What I'm thinking about is what if we landed Marshall and then Mason decided the odds of winning a title just went way up so he comes back too! Marshall, Mason, Flacco... Holy heck boys, can you imagine?
He's not worth anything near a #1 pick. He's damaged goods right now, he's one incident away from being suspended and he's going to demand a huge contract that no one knows what it will be... I'd give a third for him... Kiwanuka could be a nice player to trade for him if you're the Giants...
I really don't think that Marshall would be so bad in Baltimore. You have some players, coaches and people in the front office that will not tolerate his behavior and he will know this. He wants to win and could be the one piece that pushes the Ravens to the top.
Much love MediaGuy but you'll recall that McNair was coming off a DUI (his 2nd or 3rd I think) when we got him - and Ray fought the law and was found innocent (totally clearing his name so that is the end of that) and has now become the premier mentor for troubled athletes. I honestly think that if Marshall were to find success in any locker room it would be ours (especially if we still had Mas) or he could just waste his sizable talents in Denver.
just murderer's accomplices (ray lewis) convicts (jamal lewis) and thugs (mcGAYhee) but other than that, I might agree with you :icon_cheesygrin: in regards to the subject of the thread. No way Denver will take less than at least a #1 for him and Ozzie values high draft picks too much to make the trade. This will NEVER happen, nufced.
