The starting left defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles was in court early this morning instead of resting up for practice on Lehigh University's campus after a police stop discovered marijuana in his possession. Juqua Parker, whose birth name is Juqua Demail Thomas, was taken into custody during a traffic stop around 12:30 a.m. on N. Mountain Drive at Route 378, which is near the Eagles training camp on Lehigh's Mountaintop Campus. Lower Saucon Township police said Parker was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation, and he had a small amount of marijuana in his possession.

Players continue to not listen. When the coach says nothing good happens after midnight, get your fat butt in bed @ 11:30 PM. WTF???? The Police Blotter carried this off season. Plastic, Donte, Marvin, Marshall, Lynch, Williams', Pace, etc, etc. Not to mention the Fartt Bever thingy in Viking Nation. I am tired of doing Police Blotter. No wonder Mike Florio is so successful at Pro Football Talk.com. He is a lawyer and has access to this information. God get me to September 13th.:icon_cool:

Well our coach says get your butt to bed by 1am.....but maybe that should change.
In related news Todd Herremans was driving and there was a 21 yr old and a 22 yr old local girl in the van. Todd made an improper turn w/ no lights on and they got pulled over. Todd cooperated fully with the cops. Blew a .05 (.08 as we all know is the legal limit) and therefor got off with a ticket.

Both are in the 30 and over club and therefor had the morning off from practice. Maybe that should change too. The way Reid laid the smack down on the media a few days ago I could really see him revoking the over thirty club privileges due to this event.

I do have to wonder how the cops found the weed. What gave them cause to search the vehicle for a routine traffic stop? I don't have the details but this may be something that Parker can use in his defense.

Nicely put phigles. They probably didn't have cause to search.

They said the car smelled like marajuana thats enough cause to search. I would love to smoke with juqua parker that would be awesome.

Car smells like marijuana is the go to excuse for cops.... if the witnesses testify that there was no marijuana smoked in the van that night (which I imagine they would) then that won't hold up in court

Though I doubt this one will go to court.

If they did that then you would have to pay taxes on it. As it is now you can get pot cheaper than some cigs.

Taxes would help reduce the national deficit.

The bad part would be the regulations placed on the drug itself. Buying a legal pack of marijuana cigarettes wouldn't get you any higher than a tobacco cigarette.

he won't face suspension, but he will be entered into the league drug program meaning any future problems would be a mandatory suspension

I think it would be funny if they called him in to do a random Monday.
