Working exclusively with the first-team offense for the first time this summer, Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez was 10-of-19 for two touchdowns and an interception. He also further solidified his edge over Kellen Clemens in the team's quarterback competition. "Every day needs to be a step forward when you get a chance to go with that first-team group," Sanchez said. "I thought it really showed that I was ready for that, and I took advantage of that time." Meanwhile, Clemens struggled running the second-team offense, going 4-of-12 with no touchdowns, an interception - and two other passes that could've been picked off.

I'm with JJ - If Clemens can't make a strong case for himself over a stone-cold green horn (without mentioning that Favre wasn't pulled in favour of him during last years meltdown) then the dude really must not be all the Jets fans have cracked him up to be.
