The site was down from about 3:05pm PST to 8:06pm PST. Apparently the new webhost got hit with a severe attack. This was a very rare instance and they got the site back up with as little downtime as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience. It's just our luck that once we finally seem to have gotten the database issues fixed and the site was running smooth that this happens.
Webhost is abit broad - one of the datacenters we use in America was taken offline by someone attacking the connections. The whole datacenter had an outage; but as it's rare for a datacenter to go offline this problem shouldn't be likely to reoccur.
The Datacenter weren't overly specific; they said there's an exploit in their security system which a person was able to get in threw. I am willing to say DDoS seeing as if it was someone trying to be overly malicious and they could get through security - they would start erasing data; which they didn't.
My thoughts exactly. We had a vulnerability in FPE modules that was allowing anyone with a certain version of Front Page to overwrite customers index pages. Buttholes.
Lol, there is losers out there which spend all of their time looking for exploits in software. They need lives, or girlfriends - whichever is easier to come by.
Son of a Nut Cracker! It's well worth the unfortunate inconvenience with the speed the site is running - AWESOME!
I have absolutely no freaking idea what you geeks are saying. I just post NFL Headlines. Keep up the good work!:icon_cheesygrin:
Are we sure they even were able to touch the server? Usually such an attack would be blocked at the gateway or router level. Don't use FrontPage. It's that simple.
so i don't know if this is the right place for this post or if there is a different thread but it seems that alot of posts and threads that happened last night between 9-10 are gone **********Automerged Doublepost********** nevermind on that post i found the explanation in another thread
