I'm 30 minutes away from drafting my main league. Same group of buttholes friends for the last 8 years. Every year there's one person who misses the draft and then refuses to manage their autodraft team or some other drama. I wonder if the streak remains intact this year.

I have my draft for my main league next sunday. Ten of us for five years now, all going to a bar and doing a live draft there, normally takes a few hours.

wide right, your team is solid. Baskett, that lack of depth at RB will haunt you. harvs, solid lineup pretty much all around.

    Evaluate My Team

    First, I'm disappointed.

    Secondly, 10 team league, drafted 8th, standard scorring, 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def, 6 Bench

    QB: Phillip Rivers, Chad Pennington
RB: Chris Johnson, Ryan Grant, Joseph Addai, Lendale White, Felix Jones
WR: Andre Johnson, Lee Evans, Lance Moore, Desean Jackson, Chris Chambers
    TE: Kevin Boss
    K: Jason Elam
    Def: Washington

Zero prep work yields the above results.

Need opinions on potential waiver wire scouting and trades etc.

I think that your weakest spot is WR, but shout be if nothing else consistent at the other positions. WR is always a position to get some rewards on the waiver wire early in the year, so I wouldn't count you out yet. Andre Johnson is a nice #1.

that team is freaking beastly!!! if even one of those sleeper WR's pan out (hixon, ginn, henry) you should be destroying that league. NICE!!!!!

Thanks. I controlled the runs in that draft too thus letting the players I targeted to fall to me. I can't believe I got McKelvin & Wilson. Nobody was paying attention as I grabbed the top 2 starting CBs who also return kicks. Double points right there.

    pretty good

romo at QB is decent and should give you consistent points

smith, rice are nice, I don't like parker and I would try and package him and someone else for an upgrade at third RB. I do like wells and expect him to be the man in arizona sooner, rather than later

johnson, moss are insane and gives you flexibility in trading other receivers

miller will be a good TE in a ppr.

depth may be an issue, but the WW can be a goldmine for depth

starting out with an awesome core with those keepers, you are basically set at each position before the draft. that being said, i think drafting 2 rookie RB's right out of the gate was risky, I would have gotten a solid #2 RB (not a horrible risk with moreno, then a solid #2 WR leaving your #2 WR spot really questionable with moore and evans, I do like hixon and think he will be your most consistent #2 once the season gets rolling. Stafford as a backup is a huge risk and if brees gets hurt, you are probably nothing more than a marginal team.

Great starters, perfect players at #2 and #3 spots at WR and RB, awesome consistent TE great defense and kicker. This team is extremely solid top to bottoma couple guys with upside, wonderful backups should top level guys not produce or get hurt. I really like this team as a whole, a lot.
