Eagles Teammates Say Michael Vick Is Ready To Play

Michael Vick’s(notes) teammates say the quarterback looks ready to play when the Philadelphia Eagles host Jacksonville on Thursday. “As a defensive guy watching, I think he’s ready,” safety Quintin Mikell(notes) said Monday. Coach Andy Reid will probably make a decision Tuesday on whether Vick will make his Eagles debut in an exhibition home game against the Jaguars. Vick is eligible to play the next two preseason games, but not in the regular season and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he would consider Vick for full reinstatement by no later than Week 6 (Oct. 18-19). “He’s ready for another chance,” offensive lineman Shawn Andrews(notes) said.

That's cool, but on a side note... why is Shawn Andrews always talking?

 

He has more free time on his hands than the other players that are playing football.

 

Cause they ask him questions lol

more good news is that shawn andrews in on the field but not in full practice again.

 

Why play him in a pre season game if it's going to give away how he will be used?

 

Hes probably just going to come in after donovan comes out to guage where he is at. I doubt we see vick and mcnabb on the field together.

 

Why not play him, Goodell may not let him play at all during the reg. season.

 

Im sure he will play eventually goodell has been saying he wants vick to be one of the nfls sucsess storys.

 

I could see them putting him at QB.

And if he does well there will be a QB controversy by week 5

 

I would bet on it that there wouldent be maybe by the fans and media but not the team.

 

Only between Kolb and Vick.
