Pro Football Weekly reports that it's possible that the Eagles start Victor "Macho" Harris at free safety over Quintin Demps. The defensive coaches love the aggressive Harris and think safety might be a better fit, given his measurables and speed. He has been aggressive and made a ton of plays in practices and should be regarded as a player with a carved-out role as the season approaches quickly. Source: Pro Football Weekly
I just clicked the link because of the name Macho... I thought that was really his first name... :icon_lol:
like alot of big hitters, he will miss from time to time and thats gonna hurt but you take the chance when you start a kid like him
Great hitter, and Demps has also shown he can be a liability in the passing game, so if Macho is being aggressive and making play I think he may get a shot. As for now I think the Eagles haven't even thought about it,
Today after practice Andy called it an open competition still and Demps is pissed that the job is not his yet. Demps is the only possible starter playing tomorrow.
Lol. What makes this guy feel he is the incumbent or something? Because he has been on the team ONE year longer??? I like both players. I like Demps' upside a lot. But Harris has impressed me quite a bit. Same with Babin and Buckley. I hope the team rewards the guys who are playing their butt off and throws the slackers to the bench/curb.
Maybe I just haven't been paying attention when Abiamiri is in, but has the dude been making an impact? I don't know if it'd be him or Smith.
