Norm Hitzges of The Ticket told the following story on his talk show today. It made me laugh. Seattle Mariner Adrian Beltre has been injured due to a baseball that hit him in one of his testicles. I don't why he wasn't wearing a protective cup, but he wasn't. When he returned to the Mariners lineup last Tuesday, teammate Ken Griffey Jr. decided to play a prank on him. Just before Beltre came up to bat, Griffey called upstairs to the PA announcer and asked him if he could play some special music for Beltre. The music? It was from Tschaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite.:icon_smile:
I couldn't imagine it hurting much more than a perfect thrown spiral to the nads (which sadly I've experienced).
It did, and it happened twice. The pain never gets old. Actually, one of my mates knows what a baseball to the c**k is like. He tried doing a between the legs catch but he mistimed his run up to the ball and the rest you can imagine. Pretty slick joke from Griffey anyway :icon_cool:
