Hakeem Nicks, the Giants’ impressive first-round pick, suffered a hip flexor injury during the third quarter of the Giants’ preseason finale against the New England Patriots. He did not return after the injury was announced and no immediate indication was given of how serious the injury was. It’s entirely possible that Nicks was just removed for precautionary reasons.

Why was he still in during the 3rd quarter?

Is he not going to start?

No, he's not a starter, yet. Hope he's OK, he was beginning to shine.

Has made strides in camp. Not a starter yet, but will not be cut. He is going to be a Player!

I've been reading that he was on the sideline smiling and chilling with all his gear on so it doesn't seem to serious.

I mean dude has 7 catches for 208 yards and 3 TD's in his last two games, just be precautionary and rest the man.

I think he'll beat out Hixon for a starting spot. Why not? They don't have any tall starters, especially with hands his size!

Well, unless Al Davis has managed to kidnap Jerry Reese and then make the cuts via telephone, then I'm pretty sure they aren't going to cut the first round pick who's been playing well.
