Baskett is their tallest red zone threat who has made big plays for the offense. No way he loses a spot to Amendola.

 

Yea thats why i picked baskett over reggie brown. Reggie isnt that bad but gibson has been better in preseason so hes the odd man out.

 

Baskett is a one trick pony and Andy never calls his trick. He offers little beyond his height for a fade route and drops it as much as he catches it when it is called. Amendola has shown this preseason his speed and shiftiness are way more useful then Baskett's height.

 

He could be a practice squad player.

Curtis and amandola are like the same player if anything i would have a surprise curtis cut because of all his injurys and how they can effect his speed.

 

He had two catches coming into tonight for only 13 yards. If that Jets player didn't trip when trying to tackle him on his 31 yard gain tonight, it would have been for like 5 yards. Baskett's red zone presence based on fade height and long TD catches in the past during actual games makes him more valuable.

No WAY is Avant out. Have you not watched ANY Eagles games since 2007? He's become McNabb's go to guy on third down and has excelled in his role in the slot. Avant is (given Curtis's injuries) currently the second most valuable receiver on our team.

You have a small point that if the TE position wasn't as week as it was then Avant might not have been targeted quite so much but he was and he excelled and therefor will continue to be targeted ALOT and he will continue to catch almost everything thrown his way.

oh and you said brown wasn't a pro-bowl caliber player. which he is. the fact that he wasn't selected means nothing considering how much of a joke selections to a sport's all-star game is.
