Chicago Bears running back Kevin Jones will miss the entire season after suffering a torn ligament in his left ankle Thursday night at Soldier Field. Jones jumped near the sideline on his seventh carry of the game and came down awkwardly on his left ankle. X-rays were negative but an MRI performed this morning showed the damage. He will require surgery and the rehabilitation process is expected to take eight to 10 months. Source: National Football Post
Jones done for 09 what do we do about a #2 RB The injury bug has hit Jones again. ( See any sports web page for full article) So what do we do about a #2 RB? While Peterson & Wolfe do some great things on special teams they are not the answer for a #2 RB. As noted by last year. I love Peterson and think he is a great #3 RB. I believe JA needs to check the waiver wire and see if there is a good #2 RB out on the wire. Because without a good #2 RB Forte is going to suffer burn-out again at the tail end of the season. At this time I am not sure who is available any thoughts? GO BEARS!!
That really sucks!!! :icon_frown: I guess that means that Garrett Wolfe will make the final cut after all.
Ouch, huge loss.. Forte will have to carry even more of the load now then he would have had to before this.
I agree555...Forte's going to be a monster, but if he doesn't have someone in there that is half decent to share some of the load, he's going to get burnt out. You can look at the birght side...Forte's production in the pass game will probably decrease now that the Bears have a guy who can throw the ball down the field and make the proper reads instead of constantly cfreaking down...so he may not get "killed" in that aspect...
