Cardinals TE Leonard Pope Among Twenty One Players Cut

    Former starting tight end Leonard Pope and four-year Cardinals veteran safety Aaron Francisco were among 21 players cut by the Cardinals to reach the NFL’s 53-man limit. Others cut by the team on Friday included offensive tackle Oliver Ross and cornerback Wilrey Fontenot. Pope, a 6-foot-8 third-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2006, played in 42 games and started 25 in three seasons with the Cardinals, including eight last year.

    Not really, he hasn't shown any promise when given the opportunity to start and considering Dominique Byrd beat him out for a roster spot...well, I think you can guess where I'm going with this...
