Eagles Use Roster Exemption On QB Michael Vick

With the Philadelphia Eagles unable to pull off a trade for the veteran quarterback, they will instead keep him as a third quarterback on the roster as the NFL has granted the team a roster exemption for Michael Vick until he is eligible to return in Week 3, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports. The Eagles worked to find a trading partner for Feeley, who is due to earn $1.3 million this season, but were unable to strike a deal. Feeley will be the No. 3 quarterback behind Kevin Kolb and Donovan McNabb.

I dont think this makes a diffrence cause he could still workout and stuff and he doesent need to practice since hes not going to play QB this season.

This affects how he will be used the first few weeks of his eligibility. If he plays week 3 it probably will only be as a decoy I would imagine.

Doesn't need practice cause he's not playing QB... wat? Vick needs all the work he can get. I'm sure the Eagles will move try to get the Feeley situation resolved quickly so he can get back with the team. Like Ward said, they are just buying time.

Keeping 7 receivers is goobered. Unless Andy is able to trade one or two which I doubt he will this was just silly.

 

Rumor is that they are working on some trades which I'm sure will have a receiver involved.
