ESPN's NFL reporter Adam Schefter is reporting on his Twitter account that Lions head coach Jim Schwartz has named rookie Matthew Stafford the team's starting quarterback. Stafford, the top overall pick in April's draft, beat out veteran Daunte Culpepper for the job. Stafford has made impressive throws but also threw an interception in each of his four exhibition games. Source: Adam Schefter, Twitter.com
worst kept secort in the NFL this season just about everyone knew he was goign to start we will at least be fun to watch this year even if we are losing Stafford -To- Megatron is a combo you will be hearing for a long time
lol its kinda funny black people are already calling racism and the white man is trying to keep culepper down becuase he isnt white do they know who are GM is ? **********Automerged Doublepost********** he can catch 2, 1 for each hand :icon_cheesygrin:
"Stafford drops back to pbutt....Johnson...is wide open.....TOUCHDOWN! Lions" ......but they will lose bcus they still have problems on D
Had Culpepper not been hurt, I think he would have started just to see how the line plays. I'm still worried about this move but what choice is there.
Did he really beat out Culpepper or is he just given the starting job because of his draft status (Hello Alex Smith)?
As much as the lions need a stronger QB I dont agree with the decision to make stafford the starting QB... let him learn from the veteran culpepper who back in his day was a great QB..........
